MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- A 45-year-old town man was robbed at gunpoint while walking on Glenn Road toward Valley Road Tuesday night, said Lt. Robert Koziak of the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department.
A masked suspect reportedly displayed what appeared to be a black hand gun and demanded the victim empty his pockets and hand over his back pack at about at 10:20 p.m. The victim was left unharmed after he complied, and the suspect then ran down Glenn Road toward N. Chatsworth Avenue, police said.
Koziak described the suspect as possibly a black man, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, approximately 175 pounds wearing dark clothing and a black mask.
The suspect got away with the victim's Ralph Lauren wallet, which was worth $60, and various credit cards and $3 in cash. The contents of the backpack included a Lenovo laptop worth $1,200, an iPhone, a Kindle, and some personal papers.
The second-degree robbery is under investigation by the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department.
